MENU for venues

Manage your venue from Claude or ChatGPT

Connect your AI assistant to your MENU account. It can then read how your menu is doing, what sells, which languages your guests use and what they ask for, and change prices, dishes, sections and opening hours for you.

How to connect

The connection address is https://menu.lc/mcp/venue. You sign in with your MENU account; anyone who manages the venue can connect their own assistant.

Claude

  1. Open MENU in Claude's connector directory and press Connect.
  2. Sign in with your MENU account and press Authorize.

Or Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector with the address above.

ChatGPT

  1. Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create.
  2. Paste the address as the MCP server URL, authentication OAuth.
  3. Sign in and press Authorize.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http menu-venue https://menu.lc/mcp/venue

Then type /mcp and choose Authenticate.

Signed-in owners also find the address, their connected apps and a log of what the assistant did under Dashboard → AI assistants.

Things to ask

What the assistant can do

Read

  • Menu analytics: sessions, time per section, dishes tapped and dishes ignored
  • The languages guests open the menu in
  • Listing views and phone, website, booking and map clicks
  • Orders: totals, best sellers, tables, weekdays and hours
  • Waiter calls: what, where, how fast they were answered
  • Reviews, venue details, the menu itself

Change

  • Prices, sold-out dishes, price variants and options
  • New dishes and sections, renaming, reordering, removing a dish
  • Dietary tags, allergens, dish and section schedules
  • Venue description, highlights, phone, website, email
  • Weekly opening hours and special days (closed today, holiday hours)
  • Menus for an occasion: a Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve menu, a weekly brunch, designed in your style, with its own page

Translations are done by your assistant

Menus on MENU are shown in 54 languages. Whenever the assistant writes or changes a text diners read, it supplies that text in every language in the same step, so the change is complete the moment it is saved. Prices, availability and hours need no translation.

What it cannot do

Orders are read only: the assistant can see them but never place, accept or cancel one. Payments, team members, integrations and deleting a venue stay on the dashboard.

Data and privacy

What we receive. When your assistant calls the server we receive the name of the tool and its inputs (for example a dish id and a new price), together with your signed-in account and the name of the AI app. We never receive your conversation with the assistant.

What we return. Your own venue's data: its menu, anonymous menu and listing statistics, orders without guests' names or contact details, waiter calls by table, and reviews with the reviewer's first name as shown publicly.

What we record. Every call is logged with the account, the AI app, the tool, its inputs (translations reduced to their language codes) and the outcome, so your team can see what the assistant did. The log is shown on your dashboard and deleted after 180 days. Changes made by the assistant are ordinary changes to your venue and are kept like any other.

Who else receives it. The AI app you connected (Anthropic, OpenAI or another provider) handles your conversation under its own policy. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

Your controls. Disconnect an app at any time under Dashboard → AI assistants; its access ends immediately. Access also ends when you change your password or when the sign-in expires. For questions or to request a copy or deletion of your data, write to info@menu.lc.
